
Brandi Braukmann Mosher, a Registered Nurse in the Memory Care Unit at Bethany on University, has been chosen from nearly 700 nominees as one of four Caregivers of the Year by the North Dakota Long Term Care Association. She was honored at the Spring NDLTCA Conference in Bismarck.
A native of Detroit Lakes, MN, Brandi graduated from Detroit Lakes, MN, High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota. She was employed at Oak Crossing and Pelican Landing in Detroit Lakes before coming to Bethany Retirement Living in 2022.
Brandi has a true passion for nursing and is devoted to caring for people living with dementia. She strives to teach other staff her love and devotion for the residents battling memory issues showing staff how to be compassionate and how to sympathize and showing family that their loved one is still there.
Baily Lohman, manager of the Willow Lane Memory Care Unit at Bethany Retirement Living, says of Brandi, “She is an ideal employee – committed to doing her job, certainly, but doing it with the love and compassion that makes her special to residents and their families. Brandi is also an outstanding mentor to other caregivers, leading by example and ensuring all employees on the Memory Care Unit treat their residents with the love and care the residents deserve.”
