As we move into the second half of the year, Bethany Retirement Living would like to pause to thank everyone who has helped us address the challenges presented by COVID-19. First, our residents have shown a remarkable resiliency in the face of isolation, reduced contact with family members and limited activity. Family members have been understanding and cooperative with the implementation of changing rules and expectations related to visiting, doctor appointments and communication. Our employees have come to work every day and done a great job of caring for those entrusted to our care. Thank you to the scores of individual and corporate donors who have generously donated financially and through gifts of masks, hand sanitizer, food and other supplies to help Bethany navigate these uncharted waters.
We continue to regularly test both residents and employees to try to stay ahead of the threat of an outbreak. So far, we have been very successful in keeping the virus at bay. This is a direct result of imposing restrictions early and the cooperation and compliance to the rules by all who are connected to Bethany.
As we move forward, we encourage people to be tested, to wear masks and to be aware of those with whom you may come in contact. Together, we will continue to provide a safe, healthy place for residents and employees.
This is who we are. This is what we do.
You will feel at home with our affordable housing options, care that is personalized to your needs and full access to the amenities in our community – all under one roof. Willow Lane Memory Unit will forever be in my heart and prayers. The care you gave to _______ was so compassionate and heartfelt. I will miss not seeing you all. You made me feel welcomed. I so admired all the care, the friendliness and the one on one attention you give to all the residents. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I'm writing you so that leadership at Bethany knows how special your organization and your people are to our family.
My family (all 43 of us) will be forever grateful to Bethany for the truly wonderful experience my family and most importantly my dad and mom had while my dad was there. He called Bethany his home and it truly was. All of the Bethany employees made him and our family feel very welcome. My dad received excellent care and was truly at peace when he passed away.
Not only is the facility on 42nd beautiful, but we can't say enough amazing things about your staff. They are truly the best of the best. Skilled. Compassionate.
I can't believe how many Bethany employees came up to offer our family condolences as we were waiting for the funeral home to come when my dad passed. Their kindness was authentic.
I'm so thankful that we found Bethany. My dad was not getting quality care until we found you and it was excruciating on him and the family. This care he received from Bethany made it easier on all of us to cope with what we knew would be the loss of dad. He was able to pass away dignified and comfortable.
He was an amazing person and helped so many people in his lifetime.
You have 43 ambassadors for Bethany in our family. Although with the type of care you provide and compassion you show folks, you really don't need it.
To…all of the Bethany staff who cared for me during my recovery stay with you. Hope some of you even remember me ‘cause I will always remember you all for your patience with me, your sincere concern, and, above all, your kindness to me. I wish you all a very merry Christmas. p.s. Please share my card with the wonderful physical therapy staff and the kitchen staff who fed me so well.
Everything I experienced was exceptional and I was very grateful. Care and therapy were the best. Even the food was good which often is not the case. I enjoyed the church services with such an outstanding Chaplain, Phil Larson. More reason to be grateful. Bethany was far better than two other transitional care facilities where I spent some time after surgeries. I have recommended Bethany whenever it is appropriate.
We want to thank you for the sincerity and compassion you gave us when coming to Bethany. We also want to thank the nursing staff for the attentiveness and caring ways you handled dad with. You were so very good, kind, compassionate, and gentle with him in his last days and hours. You truly are servants and definitely in the right profession of caring for people.
Thank you – to Bethany & the hospice team also – for taking such good care of my mom. We were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful care mom received – & how caring, loving & attendant you were to her needs – & ours. She was always clean & comfortable & well taken care of, to the very end. Thank you for all you did for her and us. God bless you all!
(What did you like best about your experience at Bethany?)
Clean, very clean. Friendly supportive staff. Aids and nurses were very professional and gentle with our mother. Unit Manager, was very compassionate and answered all our questions. I have been a supervisor at my work for several years and I think the Unit Manager's management style is great. All the staff were exceptional.
Mom does indeed like where she is. It was the perfect choice for her. She's involved in the Bone Builders classes, attends several social events each week and is joining a Bible study there next week. I'm encouraging her to get signed up with Fargo Public Library so she can access its services but I need to nudge her a little more on that. She reads a lot and has worked her way through most of my own library. Thanks to you and your staff for taking such good care of Mom. We've noticed a marked improvement in her outlook, attitude and health since her move.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful – they all seemed to love their jobs. This was the second longest that I have had to stay in a nursing home – each time after a surgery. I have been at a number of nursing homes but I can truly say that I enjoyed this one the most. Than you for the good care I received.
Exceptional staff! Very professional and tries to accommodate your needs and wishes. CNAs are almost always available within minutes of pressing call light. The nursing staff is knowledgeable, fun and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about staff – from housekeeping to charge nurses, Bethany provides excellent care.
